Internship at the German-British Society from 15 March 2026 to 15 August 2026

The German-British Society is looking for an intern to join its Berlin office from 15 March 2026 to 15 August 2026.

The Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft e.V. is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental and politically independent registered association with the aim of fostering relations between Germany and the United Kingdom. It organises conferences as well as a lecture programme with personalities from politics, business, academia and culture. Details of the society can be found at www.debrige.de.

The internship is advertised for 15/03/26 and ends on 15/08/26, 16 hours per week, distributed over 2-3 days per week. The place of work is Berlin-Mitte as well as home office.

Tasks

  • Supporting the preparation and implementation of the 66th Young Königswinter Conference, which will take place in Berlin on from July 29 to August 2
  • supporting the preparation of the 76th Königswinter Conference, which will take place in the UK in June
  • Supporting the Executive Director with correspondence and office administration
  • Support during (Zoom) events
  • Website maintenance (WordPress), social media management

Requirements

  • Applicants should be in the process of studying for a Master’s degree in the relevant field
  • confident handling of IT and internet applications, especially WordPress
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • An interest in current political events in the UK is desirable

What we offer
DBG offers students the opportunity to gain work experience in an interesting international environment. The internship is paid at 13,9€/h (minimum wage).
