As a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, the Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft relies on support of private individuals and companies. Here are the following ways to get involved:
Become a Member
Membership in the German British Society (Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft) is open to individuals, business companies and other organisations.
For individuals wishing to become a member, please click here for more information.
Coporate Membership is possible by paying a fixed annual contribution (membership fee) to the DBG. The amount of the membership fee will be based upon the size of the company and will be individually agreed upon with the Governing Board.
In accordance with Article 10b Income Tax Act (§10b EstG), membership fees are tax deductible and receipts (Zuwendungsbestätigungen) will be issued.
Another possibility to support the society, is to either make a single donation or regular donations. Donations to the DGB are also tax deductible and donors will receive a donation receipt (Zuwendungsbestätigung) within the meaning of Article 10 Income Tax Act (§10b EstG).
Donations in Kind
Other forms of support are also greatly appreciated, for example: The provision of rooms or vehicles for conferences and other events, and or covering the costs of entertainment.
In return, sponsors will receive a promotional reward for their commitment in addition to a mention of their support. For example, sponsors may be exclusive hosts of events or part of an event.
Sponsoring contributions can be claimed for tax purposes.
