The 35th Königswinter Conference: Today´s Flashpoints- Tomorrow´s Explosions? was held from 21–23 March 1985 at the Adam Stegerwald Haus. A significant highlight of the conference was the attendance of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Richard von Weizsäcker, as an honorary guest. Having been a regular participant in several previous conferences, President von Weizsäcker returned to engage with members of the society, listening to discussions and meeting both long-standing friends and new participants.
