The 2nd Scottish Cultural Festival and Highland Games „Scots on the Castle“ are the Home Event of the Highland Games Sportteam „Warriors of the Castle“, who are supported by the Clan Donald Society of Germany.
The Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft is sponsoring this year’s new international Pipe & Drum Contest after the rules of the German Bagpipe Association (BAG) for Newcomer Single Pipers and Mini Bands of Grade 4 and 5: The Head Judge is Dagmar Pesta, one of the best and most experienced internationally renowned judges and pipers in Germany, who has also been invited to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Axel Römer and Karel Ooms (from the Netherlands) are extremely experienced and appreciative international judges. This will be an extraordinary opportunity for pipers and builds on the historical music competitions of the Clans and emphasises the value of musical education and cultural sharing.
The piping contest, supported by DBG, will take place early afternoon!
Registrations for Contest Participants are now possible via:
www.festamedivale.de →‘Scots on the Castle’ area / ✉ scots-on-the-castle@web.de

The event takes place the full weekend from September 26th to 28th and is full of other highlights like a concert evening, animal shows, a market with crafts, culinary delights: and much more. For further details please see the website / facebook page of “Scots on the Castle”.
